Student supervision and applications are managed by Independent Schools Tasmania (for non-government schools) and the Beacon Foundation (government schools). Successful applicant numbers will be determined by the coordinators based on number of applicants and quality of applicants.
Students must submit an application to be considered for a place on the program.

Participation in the program is funded by the Tasmanian Seafood Industry, so it is free for students to attend.
They must make their own way to the meet point each morning ready to start the program.
Meet points for both the South and North Program are readily accessible via public transport, and are located at a University of Tasmania site. Full details will be provided to the student and their corresponding school.
Students will, however be expected to pay for their own transport and accommodation if travel is required.

Students are expected to participate for each full day of the program, which will be between 9am and 5pm each day.

Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council

The Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council (TSIC) is responsible for the organisation of the WoW program agenda. TSIC organises where we go, who we meet, and what we taste.
TSIC is the peak body representing the interests of the wild capture fishers, marine farmers and seafood processors in Tasmania. TSIC relies on a diverse range of industry stakeholders to provide the funding and in-kind support needed to run the program.
